What is SWIMBLK?
SWIMBLK is a nonprofit swim club dedicated to increasing swim access, safety, and confidence in the Black community through meetups, fitness, education, and fun.

Who can join?
Our events are open to all adults, with a special focus on empowering Black swimmers of all skill levels — from beginners to experienced swimmers.

Do I need to know how to swim to attend?
Absolutely not! Our events are beginner-friendly and welcoming to those just starting their swim journey. Come as you are — we’re here to support you.

Where are events held?
Most of our events are hosted at public or private pools across the Greater Phoenix Area. Check our emails, social media, or GroupMe for exact locations and times.

What should I bring to a SWIMBLK event?
We recommend bringing:
A swimsuit (comfortable and secure for movement), Towel, Water bottle, Swim Cap, Goggles and Positive energy and an open mindset!

Are lifeguards present?
Yes, safety is a top priority. All events are held at facilities with certified lifeguards on duty.
